One of the questions that we get often is “how much it does it cost to replace laptop screens”. Laptop screens are fragile and they can crack easily and sometimes they just go bad. The “good” thing about your screen going bad is that you will defiantly know when it happens. You will see weird colors, lines, and possibly cracks. How much does it cost to get this fixed? The screen replacement part can cost between $40 and $200 and labor should be no more than 2 hours. An hour of labor can be between $40 -$80 so you would be looking at about $60 – $120 in labor. So if you haven’t done the math yet, you would be looking at about $150 on average. If you have a broken screen and you live in the Detroit Area call 734-265-0633 or email us and we can schedule a service call. If you live outside of our area we will accept mail in laptops as well, just call us and we will set that up for you. 2 Comments Free music without viruses 02/05/2012

Many people do not know that your hard drive is usually the first part to go bad on your computer. This happens because your hard drive is the only moving part in your computer and is more apt to wear out than your other parts. How do hard drives work? In a nutshell, the hard drive has platters which are spinning all of the time and when data is needed an arm that holds the read/write heads runs over the spot with the needed data and reads it. The arm can move up to 50 times per second. Again that is a very limited description of what goes on, but you get the picture that stuff is moving all of the time. What are the signs that your hard drive is going bad?
The fact is that if it is too late, then you are going to have to pay upwards of $1000 to get your data back. So you should look into methods of backing up now before it is a problem. |
